Brighton Pride
Breakout will be attending Brighton Pride on 2nd August 2008,we will be having a picnic in Preston Park from 12 noon,the Fareham group will also be attending the event with us,if you want to join in the fun contact a project worker for further info.
What is Breakout?
Breakout is a full-time project for young people aged 13 to 25 who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender or unsure of their gender or sexual identity.
It is funded by Southampton City Youth Service and Southampton and South West Hampshire Primary Care Trust, it employs a manager and 2 youth workers who are available to offer support and advice to Young People who are members of the project and to those who need someone who can listen in confidence.Breakout was founded in 1992 and offers a weekly Thursday evening social group which meets between 7:00pm and 9:30pm at a safe venue in the City. The Thursday group is for young people aged 13-25 and offers a safe place to meet and socialise.
Throughout the year, the project provides a programme of visits and social events as well as training and a yearly residential that young people can choose to take part in.
